Liebster Award Time!

So, this blog post will be a little different than the others.

Why do you ask? Because I was honored by the awesome Jonathan Bodici from Jonathan's Studio for the Newbie Blogging Liebster Award, which is designed for newer bloggers with less than 200 followers to encourage and support each other in our journey to grow our blogs.

I'm super excited for the nomination and can't wait to pass this along to other fellow bloggers. It's awesome that there is something like the Liebster Award that allows us to grow together and help build each other up.

What are the rules, you might ask? See below:

Here are the questions that Jonathan gave me, along with my answers.

1. Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because, once upon a time, I was going through a really tough time in life and thankfully was able to get out of it, and realized through the process that I want to be able to help and encourage others out there that might be going through a similar situation as I was.

2. What is your plan or goal that you wanna reach trough blogging?

People might say that I'm foolish, but the only plan/goal that I have through blogging is to be able to reach one person. If I can give someone encouragement and strength to get out of the rough patch that they're in, then it will all be worth it.

3. Where do you get inspiration for your writing?

My inspiration comes from my life experiences. I'm not saying that I've had a hard-knock life or anything of the sort...but everyone has their own demons that they battle. And I have battled (and still battling) some of my own.

4. What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a blog?

I would tell people who are interested in starting a blog that it takes time and effort. It's not an overnight success, but if it's something you're passionate about and you work on it, it will get there.

5. What other hobbies do you have?

I love to paint and draw. It's a newfound hobby of mine; one that it here to stay.

6. What is the best book that you can recommend?

Not trying to sound cliche or anything, but the Bible is the best book I can recommend, because there is a lot of inspirational scriptures that can give encouragement and

7. If you could relocate with your family, where would it be?

In all honesty, there is no other place I would rather live than in Dallas. But if I had to pick any place in the world, I think I would say to a beach house either along the Pacific Ocean or in Maine.

8. What is the nr.1 thing on your bucket list, and why?

The number one thing on my bucket list would be to spend a week in Santorini, Greece in a villa overlooking the Aegean Sea, and spend every morning painting/drawing in my balcony.

9. How do you like to spend your free time?

Painting or drawing. It brings me a sense of peace and tranquility.

10. What is the one quote that you think it suits you best?
