Welcome to My First Ramble-Sesh!

Hi there!

If you are reading this right now, that means that you've stumbled upon my site (whether it be through curiousity, sheer support, or just plain stalking). Welcome! Hopefully this post makes a good impression on you and you find the urge to hit 'add bookmark' and hang onto this site for some time.

So you all may be wondering, "what inspired Mehndificent to create a blog?" And to tell you the truth...I don't know. Yes, for those who know me, they understand that there already isn't enough minutes/hours in the day/week to do all the things I wish to accomplish, so "what makes starting a blog give you the idea that it will add more time to your 'already jam-packed day' ", and "what makes you think that you will have time to blog?"

I hate to break it to myself, but honestly, it doesn't. And I really don't know if I will. But that doesn't mean that I can't try.

My hopes for starting an art blog is to create inspiration within myself and others reading this, plus make it a little easier for people to understand what goes on in my head when I'm creating artwork. Because, trust me, my mind is a pretty eventful playground, and I am so thankful that I have this avenue in which I can let out all of these thoughts of mine...or else, if they all collected in my brain, I fear that I might turn out with a large head like Pinky did in the cartoon "Pinky and the Brain" (and I don't mean in an intellectual way, if you know what I'm saying).

Believe it or not, there's a story behind every piece. Just as different as they all look, no two pieces have the same story. And majority of the time, the vision I have starting an art piece ends up going through all of these twists and turns and the end result becomes the last thing that I thought of in my vision. Such a winding, topsy-turvy path, folks.

I may be crazy. I may be over-ambitious with this. But right after contemplating about creating a blog, I read the following quote: "Take a chance, because you'll never know how absolutely great something can turn out to be. - (unknown)".

After reading that, my thoughts were (word-for-word), "Oh mah gawd! Get tha heck out! That totally means I should start a blog. Totally. Right? Hmm...well, um, okay. (pause). Yeah. (pause). Sure. (pause). Um, let me think about this a little more. (pause). "

That was two months ago. Last night, without thinking, I simply created one. And here I am now. So here's to trying something new. Cheers, y'all!

P.S. This blog will contain sentences just as I would say them if this was a vlog. There is no going back and editing things that don't make sense. Once I type it, it is permanent. So if I make a spelling mistake or something doesn't sound grammatically correct, please excuse me. I am just trying to capture my raw thoughts here in accordance to my artwork. Not trying to please anyone.
